Apex Learning is digital curriculum company working closely with school districts across the country to implement proven solutions that create opportunities for student success in school and beyond.

To remain competitive in the long run and keep their leader position as a digital curriculum company a brand refresh was needed to reinforce their offerings.

Update company website to reflect the new brand direction and business goals.

My Contribution

I was in charge of leading the website redesign thourgh all of its phases. This started with scoping, included wireframing, prototyping, feedback sessions, and concluded with working closly with the dev team to vet the changes in production.

Exploration

With all my research in place, and clear vision about the future website I went straight to wireframes to the ideation phase.

The analytics clearly showed the design needed to be desktop first experience based on the platform usage. I presented a few ideas and the stake holders agreed on the following wireframes as our direction.

Final Direction

Even though the color palette has bright and bold colors we decided to pick a primary, a secondary, an accent color and sprinkle the rest throughout the website to add flourishes to the user experience.

Navigation to accomodate new and existing visitors

Built on the Drupal platform, the website has a simple top navigation with useful pages that clearly direct the user to the solutions and products offered, as well as resources and support. The website has a login area for existing clients and search functionality to help users and customers get to where they need to quickly.

Emphasizing Success

The website’s strong use of Call to Actions covers all bases to communicate with users and help them take the next step in their journey. Following on from this, the website’s Results page is a great platform to showcase: Case Studies, Efficacy Studies, Success Stories, Testimonials
